Immuneo Protein Smoothie

This smoothie is loaded with Protein and immunity boosting nutrients to deliver a great tasting, energy sustaining drink. See below:

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup Egg whites (well shaken)
1/2 cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze
1/2 cup plain, no-fat Greek yogurt (Chobani 0%)
2 cups Kale or baby spinach
1 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1 ripe banana, sliced up
1/2 cup crushed ice
2 tsp Flaxseed/linseed oil
1 tsp honey (optional to taste)

DIRECTIONS:

1. Place the egg whites, vanilla almond milk, Greek yogurt, kale/spinach, blueberries, banana, ice and flaxseed oil into a blender. Blend, for 2 minutes (stopping to stir as needed) or until smooth and well combined. Serve immediately.

TIPS:

• Add 1/2 tsp (2 mL) of ground cinnamon for extra flavour and an immune boost.

• For variety (and less of a sugar spike) substitute agave syrup for the honey.

• Substitute vanilla rice milk, soy milk or even regular low-fat milk for the almond breeze.
